For the inaugural episode of the Sounds Visual Radio podcast, we talk to Portland DJ Velvet Sinclair. He talked to us about growing up in Montreal before moving to the states as a teen, why Washington, D.C. in the late nineties was a special time and place for music, how he ended up scuba diving in Bonaire thanks to a mistake his mom made, and also reminisces about his experiences living overseas in the Philippines and Thailand, the latter where he witnessed firsthand the devastating tsunami of 2004.
